Ching – Shower Room

We began with a full strip-out of the existing bathroom, removing all fixtures, flooring, and old pipework to create a clean foundation for the new shower room installation. The old pipework and waste connections were replaced with new systems specifically designed for the client. This ensured optimal water flow and reliable waste drainage for all new fixtures.

We then installed a robust multi-layer flooring system, beginning with new caber flooring as the base layer. This was followed with plywood screwed at 100mm centers to create an extremely stable and durable foundation. The finished surface was completed with premium Camaro LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) flooring throughout, providing a waterproof, attractive, and long-lasting floor covering.

Professional Waterproofing and Tiling

The shower area was completely reboarded using specialised waterproof tile backer boards and a comprehensive tanking kit. This created a fully waterproof zone to protect the property from moisture damage, ensuring the longevity of the installation.

We also created custom box work at the head of the shower and WC area to house the concealed cistern. This feature not only provided a practical solution for concealing plumbing components but also contributed to the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the finished space.

All walls were professionally prepared and fully tiled with the client’s chosen tiles, including a tiled-in mirror for a seamless, integrated look.

Fixture Installation

The final phase included installing the shower and all sanitary wares supplied by G&M. Each fixture was precisely positioned and securely fitted to ensure proper function and alignment with the new tiled surfaces.

Before the handover, we thoroughly sealed all necessary areas and conducted a comprehensive clean-up, leaving the client with a pristine new shower room ready for immediate use.
